I usually do not post coupons that need printed because most people do not have a printer (mine is out right now).

French Toast Sticks

My kids love Sonic breakfast items, especially the french toast sticks. But getting 4 kids ready for school, all going different locations, there is NO time to stop at Sonic along the way. Because I can not let my little man down, I googled them this morning and found this recipe. Oh my jeeze! Look at Sonic, mama is here. And yes they were "kid approved".

French Toast Sticks

(I made a third this morning, ok, I Rachel Ray'd it this morning but it was 1/3)

Ingredients:

• 1 loaf white or whole-wheat bread (2 slices of bread)
• 3 eggs (1 egg)
• 1 cup milk (1/3 cup)
• 1/2 cup flour (1/8 cup)
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (dash)
• Dash salt 
• Pint Grade A Medium Amber Maple Syrup 

Preparation Spray a skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Cut each slice of bread into 1-inch sticks. Whisk together eggs, milk, flour, vanilla and salt. Dip bread sticks into batter and fry in a skillet until golden brown. Warm syrup in a small bowl. Serve together so the sticks can be dipped in the syrup. Serves 4. I love the free kindle books from Amazon. I do not have a kindle, however, you can download a kindle reader to your smart phone and computer so you don't miss out on the deals. I have a kindle reader on my phone so when we're on the go, my 3rd grader can do his nightly reading wherever we maybe.

I'm still working on my resolutions just not as often as I would like. Since one of them is to get organized, I really wanted to read this book Home Organization For Stress Free Living: How To Organize Your Home One Day At A Time And Keep It That Way

Now the great thing about Amazon is you can find some really great deals. The down side, is you never know how long they will last. Only my kids?

Well there is no school today. Which in a normal house, everyone would still be fast asleep because we do not have any where to be, no animals to attend to, and no shopping to get done...yet. 

So WHY do the kids get up at the butt crack of dawn? Now when I say kids, I mean under the age of 13 because I know for a fact the teenager will not see the light of day until at least 2.

Now you are probably thinking, what is the big deal if they get up so early. The reason is if this would have been a normal school day...I would still be fighting kids to get up. Go figure...

Firelake Deals 1/16 - 1/22

Firelake's sale starts today and ends next Tuesday.  Sometimes you can find some really good deals or if you do not live close to Shawnee, you can price match at your local Walmart (within 50 miles). I do not promise that this is the best prices with coupons, but they are good deals if you need that item. If you remember from my previous post, keep a notebook of your deals, then you'll know a good price when you see one.

A few things to know about Firelake. They do not take printed coupons, price match, or double coupons. However, they do have a rewards card that you can earn points with when you buy Shurfine items.  Your points work like cash and can be removed from your next bill. I usually use mine to buy the boys something from the dollar store.

I  posted what I could find from the ad but if I spot more deals when I go, I will let you know.
