Chicken and Dumplings

Chicken & Dumplin's
Made from scratch


1 baking hen ( for best broth )
Or pkg of chicken in bone
3 cups Self rising Flour ( makes up to 4/5 balls of batch to roll out )
1 pinch Salt
1/4 C milk
2 egg yolks

Boil chicken in pot till fully done with salt and pepper , debone your meat and add back to soup and set aside ... In a bowl, combine the flour,milk, egg yolks ,a cooled down 1/2 cup of your broth to batter and salt . Stir till dough is ready to roll out on floured area .

Heavily flour a work surface. Flatten your dough and cut dumplins with cutter or butter knife , cut the dumplings in thin squares . It’s okay for them not to be exact or perfect . bring the broth to a boil. Drop the dumplings in one at a time, stirring while you add them. The extra flour on them will help thicken the broth. Cook them for about 15-20 minutes .

* you can use Canned chicken broth if more broth is needed , will add more broth to it , it taste good as well *
